Social Media Management for Small Business: A Month of Posts in an Hour

Updated · Multi Post Social guide

Social media management for small business is less about growth hacks and more about showing up: the shop that posts twice a week, answers every message and keeps its Google listing fresh wins the customers who search on a Tuesday night. Multi Post Social is built for that pace. Plan a month in one sitting, publish to Facebook, Instagram and Google Business Profile from one composer, answer customers from one inbox and see which posts bring visits. This page is the setup and the routine.

Who this is for

Owners and the one person who "does the socials" at a café, salon, clinic, gym, law office, repair shop, boutique, real-estate office or local service company. You have a Facebook Page, an Instagram account and a Google Business Profile, maybe a LinkedIn Page or a TikTok. You have an hour a week for marketing, often less.

The problems small businesses have

  • Posting happens when there is a quiet moment, which means it does not happen in busy weeks.
  • The Google Business Profile is forgotten even though it is the first thing local customers see.
  • Messages arrive on Facebook, Instagram and Google and some go unanswered for days.
  • Promotions are posted once and vanish; nobody knows whether they brought anyone in.
  • Staff changes mean passwords get shared and never changed.

A month of posts in an hour

  1. 10 minutes: list the month. Write eight lines: two offers, two "new in" items, two team or behind-the-counter moments, one review you may share, one hours or holiday notice.
  2. 20 minutes: write with help. Give each line to the AI assistant with the tone "friendly local business" and get a caption for Facebook, a shorter one for Instagram and a Google update with a button.
  3. 15 minutes: add photos and queue. Phone photos are fine. In the scheduler, pick the channels, paste each version, add the Google button (Call, Book, Learn more) and add to queue.
  4. 10 minutes: check the calendar. Make sure the holiday notice is pinned to the right date and the offers do not land on the same week.
  5. 5 minutes: set reminders. Turn on notifications for Post failed and New comment so nothing slips.

Then spend five minutes a day in the inbox. That is the whole program.

Which plan fits a small business

A typical local business runs on the free plan for months: three channels, ten scheduled posts per channel at any time, the inbox and thirty days of analytics. Essentials becomes worth it when you add a fourth channel, want to queue a whole quarter, or want saved replies and full reports. Team only matters when two or more people need their own login and you want an approval step for a new hire. See the pricing page; social media management for small business should cost less than one ad a month.

Safe use for a business account

Give each staff member their own Multi Post Social login instead of sharing network passwords, turn on two-factor authentication, and remove access the day someone leaves. Keep offers honest and dated, label any paid promotion, and follow each network's rules for giveaways. The security guide lists what is stored and how to remove it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I schedule Google Business Profile posts?

Yes. Updates, offers and events publish directly with a button and an optional expiry date. Google removes some post types after a set period, so the scheduler shows the end date next to each one.

Do I need a Facebook Business Page?

For direct publishing to Facebook and Instagram, yes: an Instagram Business or Creator account must be linked to a Facebook Page. Personal profiles on Facebook cannot be scheduled by any tool.

Can my staff reply to customers without seeing my passwords?

Yes. Invite them as an Editor or Contributor. They see the inbox and the composer; they never see network credentials, and you can remove them in one click.

What if a post fails while I am busy?

You get a notification with the reason, usually an expired connection. Reconnect from the Channels page and press Retry; the post keeps its text and media.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. Monthly plans cancel any time; yearly plans are cheaper and renew once a year with a reminder beforehand.
