Multi Post Social App: iOS, Android, Web App and Browser Extension
Updated · Multi Post Social guide

The Multi Post Social app puts your queue, your inbox and your reminders in your pocket. There are three ways to run it on a phone: the native app for iOS and Android, the web app you install from the browser to your home screen, and, on a computer, a browser extension that sends any page to your composer. This guide explains what each one does, how to install it, which notifications you will get, what permissions the app asks for and why, how it behaves offline, and how to fix the problems people most often report.
Three ways to use Multi Post Social on a phone
Multi Post Social is one product with one account. The mobile app, the web app and the desktop browser all read and write the same workspace, so a post written on the train shows up in the calendar on your laptop a second later. The differences are about what the device can do: a native app can send push notifications and receive shares from other apps; a web app installs in seconds and needs no store; a browser extension lives where you read.
Pick the native app if you want reminders for formats that must be finished inside a network’s own app, or if you want to share photos from your camera roll straight into a post. Pick the web app if you avoid installing apps, use a work phone with a locked store, or simply want to try the product first. Use both if you like; they stay in sync.
Store listings open as soon as the apps pass review. Until then the web app offers the same screens; install steps are below.

The Multi Post Social app for iOS and Android
The native Multi Post Social app carries the parts of the product you need away from a desk. The composer is complete: pick channels, write the base text, customize each network’s tab, add photos or a video from your camera roll, set a first comment, and choose Add to queue, Schedule, Share now or Save draft. Character counts and format checks work the same way as on the desktop.
The queue shows each channel’s upcoming posts with slot times, and the calendar opens in list view, which fits a phone better than a seven-column grid. Swipe a post to move it to the top of the queue or to another day. The inbox lists comments, messages and mentions with filters by channel and label; you can reply, add a label, mark done, use a saved reply or assign an item to a teammate. Analytics shows the overview cards and the top posts of the week, with the full reports left to the larger screen.
Share sheet
The Multi Post Social app registers as a share target. From Photos, a browser or any app with a share button, choose Multi Post Social and the composer opens with the image or link already attached. This is the fastest way to capture something on the spot and queue it for later, and it works with the ideas board too, so a half-formed thought can be saved without being posted.
Reminders
Some formats, such as certain Instagram Story types and Facebook Group posts, must be finished inside the network’s own app. For those the composer offers Reminder. At the scheduled time the app sends a notification; tap it and the media is saved to your phone, the caption is copied to the clipboard and the network app opens. You paste, you post, you are done. The scheduler guide explains when a reminder is used instead of direct publishing.

Installing the web app to your home screen
The Multi Post Social app in its web form is this site, installed. It opens full screen without browser bars, keeps you signed in, and gets an icon like any other app. Installation takes under a minute and uses no storage beyond a small cache.
iPhone and iPad (Safari)
- Open the site in Safari and sign in.
- Tap the Share button, the square with an arrow at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll the sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Keep the name or shorten it, then tap Add.
- Open it from the home screen; it starts on your dashboard.
Android (Chrome)
- Open the site in Chrome and sign in.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top right.
- Tap Add to Home screen, or Install app if Chrome offers it.
- Confirm the name and tap Add.
- Find the icon in your app drawer or on the home screen.
Other browsers have the same option under slightly different names, such as Install or Add to phone. On a desktop, Chrome and Edge show an install icon in the address bar, which gives you a window without tabs for the days you live in the queue.
Notifications and reminders
Notifications are the reason to have the Multi Post Social app on your phone. They tell you when a post went out, when one failed, when a channel needs a reconnect, when a comment arrives and when a teammate asks for approval. Each type can be turned on or off in Settings, and quiet hours silence everything except failures and disconnects between the hours you set.
| Notification | Default | When it fires | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Post published | On | Each time a scheduled post goes out | Confirms the queue is working |
| Post failed | On, bypasses quiet hours | A post could not be published | Lets you retry before the slot is wasted |
| Channel disconnected | On, bypasses quiet hours | A network token expired or was revoked | Stops the whole queue for that channel until fixed |
| New comment or message | On | An inbox item arrives | Fast replies matter more than extra posts |
| Approval requested | On | A contributor submits a post | Keeps the queue moving on team plans |
| Reminder | On | A reminder-type post reaches its time | The only way those formats get posted |
| Weekly report | On (Monday) | Once a week | A calm review of what worked |
| Mention spike | Off | A listening stream passes its threshold | Early warning for a trend or a problem |

Permissions the app asks for, and why
The Multi Post Social app asks for a permission only when you first use the feature that needs it, and every one can be refused with the rest of the app still working.
- Notifications. To deliver the alerts above. Refuse it and the app shows a badge count instead.
- Photos and media. To attach images and videos from your camera roll, and to save media for reminders. The app uses the system picker, so it sees only the items you choose.
- Camera. Only if you take a photo from inside the composer.
- Clipboard. To copy a caption when a reminder fires. The app never reads the clipboard on its own.
The app does not ask for contacts, location, microphone or background location. It does not track you across other apps. The privacy policy lists what the app sends to our servers: your posts, media you attach, and basic crash reports if you allow them.
Offline behavior
Phones lose signal. The Multi Post Social app keeps the queue, calendar and inbox you last loaded, so you can read them in a tunnel. Drafts you write offline are saved on the device and sync when the connection returns; the composer shows a small cloud icon with a line through it while you are offline and a check mark when the draft has synced. Publishing, reconnecting a channel and loading new analytics need a connection, and the app says so instead of failing quietly. Scheduled posts are published by our servers, not by your phone, so a phone that is off at 9:00 does not stop the 9:00 post.
The browser extension
On a computer, the browser extension does what the share sheet does on a phone. While reading an article, press the extension icon or right-click an image or a selected quote, and the composer opens in a small window with the link, the image and the quote attached. Pick channels, adjust the text, choose a time and close the window; the post is in the queue and you are back on the page. It works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, and it uses your existing sign-in. The browser extension page covers installation and keyboard shortcuts.
Step by step: a mobile posting routine
- Install the app or the web app using the steps above and sign in. Turn on Post failed and Channel disconnected notifications at least.
- Capture during the day. Whenever you see something worth sharing, use the share sheet to send it to the ideas board, not straight to the queue.
- Write in one sitting. In the evening, open the ideas board, turn two or three ideas into posts, and let the AI assistant draft the first version of each caption.
- Customize per network. Shorten the X tab, add a first comment on the Instagram tab, keep LinkedIn longer.
- Add to queue. Check the slot preview under the button so you know when each one goes out.
- Answer the inbox. Ten minutes with the inbox filter set to Open, using saved replies for the common questions.
- Read Monday’s report. The weekly report notification opens the overview; note the best post and move it to a better slot next week.
Troubleshooting
Most mobile problems come down to notifications being blocked, a stale session or a network token. The fixes are quick; if one does not help, the customer care guide explains what to send support.
- No notifications. Check the phone’s notification settings for the app, then Settings inside the app. On iOS, Focus modes can silence apps; add Multi Post Social to the allowed list. On Android, battery optimization can delay alerts; set the app to Unrestricted.
- Reminder fired but the network app did not open. Make sure the network app is installed and signed in. The media is still in your Photos and the caption is on the clipboard.
- Upload stuck. Large videos need a steady connection; switch to Wi-Fi. Check the file against the limits in the channels overview.
- Signed out unexpectedly. Someone changed the password or ended all sessions; sign in again. The login guide covers codes and two-factor.
- Web app opens in the browser instead of full screen. It was opened from a link rather than the home-screen icon; use the icon.
- Old data showing. Pull down to refresh. If it persists, sign out and in, which clears the local cache.
Tips for small screens
A phone screen fits one thing at a time, and the Multi Post Social app is arranged around that. A few habits make it faster. Write the base text first and customize per network afterwards, because switching tabs while you draft breaks the flow. Use channel groups so a post to eight channels is one tap instead of eight. Keep the slot preview under the Add to queue button in view; it tells you when each channel will publish before you commit.
In the inbox, set the filter to Open and sort by oldest first, so nobody waits longer than necessary. Swipe right to mark done, swipe left for labels. Long replies are easier with the phone sideways. Saved replies are one tap away above the keyboard, and the AI assistant can suggest a draft reply you edit rather than type from scratch.
For media, let the network app do the heavy editing and the composer do the scheduling. Export videos at the size each network wants before you attach them; the composer warns about size and length but cannot re-encode on a phone. Add alt text to every image from the small field under the thumbnail; it takes fifteen seconds and the composer reminds you when it is empty. If you manage many channels, pin the two you use most to the top of the channel picker from Channels.
Updates and versions
The web form of the Multi Post Social app updates itself: every time you open it, it checks for a new version and loads it in the background, with a small banner when a reload is needed. The native app updates through the store, automatically on most phones. Each release is listed in the changelog with the version number, so you can check whether a fix you were waiting for has reached your device. The version is shown at the bottom of Settings.
We support the current and previous major versions of iOS and Android and the current versions of the major browsers. Older devices still work for reading and replying, but new composer features may arrive there later or not at all. If the app asks you to update before continuing, the reason is usually a change in how a network accepts posts, and the old version would fail silently otherwise.
Benefits and limits
The benefit of the Multi Post Social app is that social media happens on phones, and so should the capture, the quick reply and the reminder. Teams who install it answer comments faster and miss fewer reminders. The web app lowers the barrier further; there is nothing to approve or download.
The limits are real too. Long-form planning, bulk uploads and detailed reports belong on a large screen. Push notifications can become noise if every type is on; start with failures and disconnects and add the rest as you need them. And a phone that holds a brand account should have a passcode and automatic lock, because the app trusts the device lock instead of asking for your password each time.

Safe use on mobile
Install the Multi Post Social app only from the official stores once the listings are live, or use the web app from the real site address; copies of popular tools appear in stores under similar names. Set a device passcode and automatic lock, because the app relies on them. Turn on two-factor authentication in Settings. Review the permissions the app has in your phone settings every few months and remove any you no longer use. Treat a reminder like any post: read the caption once more before you paste it into the network app, and remember that each network’s rules on disclosure and frequency apply whether you post from a tool or by hand. The security guide explains how to report a suspicious app or message.
Google explains what each Android permission allows in its Play permissions help page; the app never asks for more than the list above.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a Multi Post Social app for iPhone and Android?
Yes. Native apps for iOS and Android are in store review; this page will link to the listings as soon as they open. In the meantime the web app installs to any home screen and offers the same composer, queue and inbox.
What is the difference between the app and the web app?
The native app adds push notifications that are reliable on every phone, reminders for formats that must be finished inside a network app, and a share target in other apps. The web app is the site installed to your home screen; it needs no store and syncs the same workspace.
Does the app post when my phone is off?
Yes. Scheduled posts are published by our servers at the slot time. Your phone only matters for reminder-type posts, which need you to finish them in the network app.
Why does the app ask for photo access?
To attach images and videos from your camera roll and to save media when a reminder fires. It uses the system picker, so it sees only the items you select.
Can I use the app offline?
You can read the last loaded queue, calendar and inbox, and write drafts that sync later. Publishing, reconnecting channels and new analytics need a connection.
Does the app cost extra?
No. The Multi Post Social app, the web app and the browser extension are included in every plan, including Free.
How do I stop notifications at night?
Settings, Notifications, Quiet hours. Choose the hours; failures and channel disconnects still come through so the queue never stops silently.
